The Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer Program
The Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP) is a federal program is funded through Centers for Disease Control And Prevention (CDC) to provide free mammograms and pap tests to eligible women. The support services provided by this organization are free and are designed to help mothers who have daughters battling breast cancer. Support is provided in a variety of ways including one-on-one support by mother volunteers who have experienced firsthand the trauma and challenges of having a daughter diagnosed with breast cancer; through distribution of a mother's handbook and daughter's companian borchure to provide guidance as to how a mother can be contructively helpful to her daughter during her breast cancer treatment; and through requests for education about the disease and its treatment.
